We recently ran a survey for students from years 7-11 to give feedback on our careers support, below is the data recieved:
Are the careers resources easy to find?
We now have new labelled areas throughout school that are easily accessable to all students with brand new resources.
Are you aware of the support available to you?
Do you know what member(s) of staff you can go to for careers advice?
We have a new member of staff in the careers department who will be joining us on Monday 6th June 2016, his name is Mr Harris and he will be working with years 7-11 based in the ILC careers office.
Are you aware of U-Explore/ Have you used the package?
We have recently run sessions during form time for all years to register with U-Explore, this is a great website that all Garforth Academy students can access with our unique code that holds lots of useful careers information and data. Also, all pastoral leaders are having training to ensure our students can recieve support if needed. Please see U-Explore Page.
Have you received any support from the careers team?
Are you aware of the pathway you will be taking once leaving school?
No 50% (Students in lower school)
Have you been to any external speaker presentations?
Please see Careers Events Page
Do you find the advice and guidance you receive impartial and covers a wide range of pathways?
