The staff and students of Garforth Academy, a Delta Academies Trust school, are again celebrating an outstanding set of Key Stage 4 results today.
All of our students achieved individual success and we are delighted with the results they have gained, having worked so hard for them. It was wonderful to see so many happy, excited students, staff and parents as they celebrated on Thursday morning, having collected their results. Particular mentions for English with 89% of our students attaining grade 4+, 78% attaining grade 5+ and 43% attaining grade 7+ . Maths outcomes were also high with 78% grade 4+ and 57% grade 5+.
Gareth Mason, Executive Principal said : “I am delighted with the results and am particularly pleased with the improvements in English, Science and the vocational subjects, contributing to a provisional overall progress score of +0.5 for the Academy.”
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the new Principal, Mrs Anna Young who is leading an outstanding team of staff at the Academy and successfully continuing the high standards expected at Garforth.”
There were many individual successes, including six students with Grade 9s in at least five of the subjects they studied. Such fantastic results have ensured the destinations of these students are secured. The vast majority will continue into the Sixth Form at Garforth Academy and continue on their journey of success.
Anna Young, Principal said “We are delighted with our students’ achievements and continue to be very proud of them. Their success is a reflection of their hard work and commitment, the dedication of staff and the continued support of parents and the Academy Advisory Body. We wish all of our students the very best of luck in their next steps in education, training or employment and look forward to hearing about their future achievements and successes.”
