This week we’re launching ‘The Apprenticeship Series’- a sequence of apprenticeship focused talks aimed at our Sixth Form students. We’re excited to welcome 8 organisations (local and global) between December and February to speak with students about the variety of apprenticeship opportunities within their organisations, what the application and recruitment process is like, and how to stand out in that process. Siemens Energy will also be hosting a mock assessment centre workshop, specifically for Y13 to develop familiarity and confidence with this aspect of a recruitment process.

The talks are over lunch times so students can pick and choose which they want to attend depending on their area of interest.

These talks are for students who are interested in apprenticeships, and for those deciding between an apprenticeship, employment or Uni. They’re also a great opportunity for some general career exploration, and to find out about the variety of roles within a sector.

It makes it even more exciting that some of the speakers are Garforth Academy Alumni!
