Join our Careers and Employability Advisory Board- The Business Breakfast Club

Once per school term we host a ‘Business Breakfast Club’, the individuals attending this termly meeting represent a variety of organisations across many industry sectors. The aim of the group is to bridge the gap between education and employment by offering support with and feedback on the Garforth Academy Careers programme. They also provide valuable insights into labour market information (including employment trends and recruitment processes) within their specialism.

If you would like to be part of our careers and employability advisory board the ‘Business Breakfast Club’, or if you want like to support our students through leading/taking part in a careers event please email Lauren Llewellyn, Careers Lead LlewellynL@garforthacademy.org.uk

Provider Access Policy (Baker Clause)

As a Trust, we have key aims to ensure the life chances of our students. These are to raise the aspirations of our students and to engage their parents, careers and families in this process.

Learners will have the opportunity to interact with Employers, Colleges, Universities and Apprenticeship Providers, such as DHL, Polypipe, South Yorkshire Police & Fire Services, The Armed Forces, Universities and Colleges from across the region and our partners at the Universities of Oxford & Cambridge. This is the chance for our learners to ask the important questions for their next steps, curriculum choices for GCSE, A Level and careers and destinations at Post 16 and 18.
